Lessons offered:
Beginner to advanced piano
30-60 minute one on one lessons using the Faber Piano Adventures curriculum including instruction in performance, music theory, music history, and technique, as well as the opportunity to perform in a recital and other outreach programs.
Noelle has extensive training and experience in hymn playing improvisation as well and is able to teach that style upon request.
Note: in person recitals have been put on pause indefinitely due to Covid-19 but video performances happen often!
Voice instruction
30 minute one on one lessons that will teach you how to better strengthen, control, and care for your voice, and will leave you feeling more confident in your abilities.
Group piano class
These once a month classes are offered both in person and via video for current students! We learn a music theory or music history concept, play musical games and then everyone gets a chance to perform!
Remote video lessons
These lessons were previously offered for long distance piano students but are now an option for anyone wanting to reduce contact due to covid or to have the convenience of not leaving home for lessons. They can be 30-60 minutes long and include the same instruction in-person lessons do.
All you need for video lessons is a good webcam on either a laptop or smart device and a way to position it so the teacher can see your hands and posture! (A tripod mount is often recommended for devices)
Asynchronous lessons
This lesson model offers the best price and the most flexibility for students! The teacher records a personalized video with the lesson explained and demonstrated for the student to work through on their own schedule. They send the teacher a video of themselves playing the song, and they get one more video or message back with feedback! It’s a great option for those with busy schedules or for those who prefer more independent work!
